 Sketch Master:

 

 Sketch Master Plug-in - This is a manipulation tool for the creation of realistic looking hand-drawings derived from photos. You can simulate various tools such as charcoal, lead pencil, ink-pencil, crayon, airbrush, etc. Three layers with separate settings allow one to produce some effects of stylized fine-arts on all sorts of surfaces (water paper, squared paper, laid paper, canvas, leather, crepe, rag paper or any other kind of surface you wish). Sketch Master Plug-in is compatible with Texturation 3D texture database

 A smart random settings generator helps you to create your artwork by simply clicking on the Dice.

 

 Installation:

 

1 Unzip SketchMaster.8bf file to your plug-ins folder.
2
To deactivate the demo version just delete SketchMasterDemo.8bf
3 Restart Image Editor if necessary.

 Getting Started:

 

It is a very good idea to click the Dice first. You can also find the samples with specific presets on www.redfieldplugins.com

 

 

The Dice (random settings generator) is the best tutorial for the Sketch Master filter. Click it multiple times to demonstrate the capabilities. The majority of our sample pictures were created using Randomizations.

 Sliders and Settings:


 

   

 Stroke Section  

 

This section allows you to change the pattern for strokes creation as well as to control their depth and direction. Use the red cross to reset the section settings. Use the dice for randomization.

Stroke Pattern

Click on the Pattern Selector thumbnail to activate the Patterns Viewer screen

Scaling

Adjusts the scale of the selected pattern from 1:4 to 4:1. Double-click to reset

 


Rotates The Strokes

There are two sliders for the stroke direction control

 

Stroke Skew

There are two selectors for skewing the strokes

 

 

Stroke Length

Determines the length of the strokes

 


 

The brightness level splitting four-component slider

 

  Low White point

  Middle White point

  High White point

     

  Low Light point

 Middle Light point

  High Light point

     

  Low Dark point

 Middle Dark point

  High Dark point

     
 

The Black Point setting allows one to control the density of black areas of a picture

 

Low Black Point

The color palette four-component slider. This is disabled if the palette checkbox is not checked

 

 

 

 

     

 
Stroke Opacity

Controls the Stroke Opacity

 

Stroke Softness

Stroke Softness adjustment

 


   

 Line Section  

 

There are five sliders for the lines property control. Use the red cross to reset the section settings. Use the dice for randomization.

 

Dark Lines

Two component slider for the Line Intensity and Line Clearness control

 

Bright Lines

Two component slider for the Line Intensity and Line Clearness control

Line Width

Two component slider for the Line Width and Line Smoothing control

Line Diffusion

Line Diffusion adjustment

 

Line Distortion

Line Distortion adjustment. The shape of distortion is controlled with help of Stroke Layer


   

 Background Section  

 

This section allows you to change and adjust the pattern of background layer. Use the red to reset the section settings.

 

Background Pattern

Click on the Pattern Selector thumbnail to activate the Patterns Viewer screen

Visibility

The background pattern visibility on/off

Background Color

Color of the background layer, transparent mode is also available

Garbage

The Garbage slider allows one to add a portion of junk pixels to the picture

 Managing Presets:

 

Choose 'SAVE USER PRESET' from Preset Box

 

Type the preset name and click [Save] to save the preset or click [Delete] to delete it.

 

You can export all your presets to the file. Please click on 'Export User Presets' button and type a file name. The file with presets is the Windows Registry File, to load the presets just double-click on it and confirm the registry entries.

!note: The Registry Entries file is a plain text file. You can view it with any available text editor like WordPad.

 

 

 

 Managing Textures:

 

You can add your own textures to the collection.

1 Click on pattern selector to enter Patterns Viewer.
2
Right-click on a pattern thumbnail to enter Pattern Editor.

  Click on the 'file import' icon to load a pattern from the disk.
  Click on the 'save' icon to add the loaded pattern to collection.
